May 2010. Stephanie died peacefully on 19th April after a short stay in hospital. She had been suffering from acute cervical cancer. Fred will continue to run the business to the best of his ability. The web site is slowly getting under control again as he tries to take over some of Stephanie's responsibilities, and learns some of the mysteries of Dreamweaver.

AllTheWeb

YAHOO! was the first site I encountered on the Web when I first signed on at Bradford Library. Using Yahoo, I found my way around. Since discovering that there is about an 18 month wait for new sites to be included (unless payment is made) I've stopped using it because I believe that for the sort of sites I want to find, Yahoo! will be hopelessly out of date.

YAHOO! U.K. is also useful sometimes, but like Yahoo! it can be hopelessly out of date.

The Open Directory Project is a web directory in which the sites are assessed by a network of volunteers.
