May 2010. Stephanie died peacefully on 19th April after a short stay in hospital. She had been suffering from acute cervical cancer. Fred will continue to run the business to the best of his ability. The web site is slowly getting under control again as he tries to take over some of Stephanie's responsibilities, and learns some of the mysteries of Dreamweaver.

Eureka, the award-winning children's museum in Halifax, is about five minutes walk away from the Piece Hall).

Halifax: a miscellaneous collection of information, maintained as a hobby I think. The webmaster admits there is a backlog of material as this site is nationwide. Any site that gives the Piece Hall as the best building in Halifax gets my vote (but I may be biased!).

Halifax Parish Church, dedicated to St. John the Baptist.

Malcolm Bull's Trivia Trail has lots of information about Calderdale, including Halifax, and the history and customs of the area.

Piece Hall, Halifax

Square Chapel, Halifax. This former chapel is an 18th century brick building, unusual in Halifax where most buildings are local stone. It is now a centre for the arts. Uses frames.
