Praktica FX

FX with flash contacts on the base of the camera

From 1974 catalogue:

1951-1952
Flash synchronisation for X and FP with three contacts situated on the base of the camera; fitted with pre-selected diaphragm lenses

1953-1954
X-synchronised only, with two flash contacts on the camera front.

1954-1955

As above, only with one standard flash contact on the camera front. Allowed a pentaprism to be inserted in the reflex viewing hood for eye-level viewing.

Other sources suggest a third variant with three flash sockets on the front of the camera. In this case, the lowest contact was for F-sync., the top one for X-sync., and the middle one for "earth." The two-socket version has the lower socket for "Earth" and the upper socket for X-sync.
