From 1979 catalogue

From undated catalogue

This model is built like the PRAKTICA super TL3 and is fitted for shutter speeds from 1/1000 to 1 sec., with self-timer, and the automatic exposure system of the PRAKTICA MTL3. This too is based on the famous system of the PENTACON internal metering; however, with the PRAKTICA PLC3, as to the PENTACON world priority for cameras with electric diaphragm control, the aperture values are not mecahnically but electrically transferred to the light-meterng system without any friction and inertia. Metering takes place at full aperture and with brightest finder mage - even when taking close-ups with extension accessories. In addition to the special lenses with electric diaphragm control (20 to 300 mm. focal length), all other PRAKTICA lenses may be used: the automatic exposure control is simply switched to stopped-down aperture metering.

Weight with PENTACON auto f/1.8 50 mm. MC lens and PX21 battery: 810 g.

1980 price: with Pentacon electric 50 mm. f/1.8 lens £114.95
